DOROTHY NACE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM I part I
1940s

The DOROTHY NACE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM I PART I displays images of 94 photos in the first half of the album assembled by Dorothy Nace, who was a PMSS Office worker in the 1940s. The complete album (Part I and Part II) contains an approximate total of 204 photographs.

Largely the work of Arthur Dodd, PMSS principal and teacher during the 1940s, the photographs capture the daily life of the School and the life of the surrounding community during the 1940s.

The images were used by Nace and others to promote the institution and provide material for fundraising, publications, and speaking tours of the staff. Dorothy Nace was often charged with assembling materials for promotional campaigns and for publications.

All images are the property of Pine Mountain Settlement School and may not be reproduced, or altered for any commercial use. Your cooperation in honoring this request is greatly appreciated. See PHOTOGRAPHS Guide for USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL.
