Pine Mountain Settlement School
Series 27: SCRAPBOOKS
Introduction
SCRAPBOOKS
TAGS: scrapbooks, ephemera, notebooks, gathered notes, local history news clippings, poetry, memorabilia, chapel programs
Scrapbooks are often catch-alls for clippings, personal collections, publications, demonstration manuals, and a range of idiosyncratic collections. All of these and more may be found in the Pine Mountain Settlement School SCRAPBOOK collection.
The most comprehensive collections of material contained in the Pine Mountain Settlement School SCRAPBOOKS are early news clippings, personal scrapbooks belonging to students and staff, special collections of material such as Elizabeth Hench‘s scrapbook that documents the history of a PMSS dairy cow named “Joy.” Alumni scrapbooks, weaving scrapbooks, and other collections may also be found listed under this heading. However, some scrapbooks may be found under their subject areas or may possibly be double-listed.
The SCRAPBOOKS Guide provides a comprehensive list of links to pages about SCRAPBOOKS and their contents in the Pine Mountain Settlement School Collections.
