DOROTHY NACE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM I part II
1913 – 1949 (
110 photographs)

The DOROTHY NACE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM I PART II displays images of photos in the second half of the album (Part II) assembled by Dorothy Nace, who was a PMSS Office worker in the 1940s. The complete album (Part I and Part II) contains an approximate total 204 photographs.

Largely the work of Arthur Dodd, PMSS principal and teacher during the 1940s, the photographs capture the School, its daily life during the 1940s and the life of the surrounding community during the 1940s and during earlier times.

The images were used by Nace and others to promote the institution and provide material for fund-raising, publications and speaking tours of the staff. Dorothy Nace was often charged with assembling materials for promotional campaigns and for publications.

All images are the property of Pine Mountain Settlement School and may not be reproduced, or altered for any commercial use. Your cooperation in honoring this request is greatly appreciated. See guidelines for USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL.
