An Ohio church youth camp was at PMSS for its fifth summer

PMSS gave right-of-way for development for a scenic “Little Shepherd Trail” along the crest of Pine Mountain.

PMSS was approved as a sponsor of Boy and Girl Scouting.

March, 1963, floods affected PMSS campus and Harlan County.

April, 1963, forest fires threatened Little Shepherd Trail.

University of Kentucky Department of Community Medicine gave physical exams to 100 students at Pine Mountain, and 100 at Green Hills.
