Community Fair, Nativity Play, Weekly community Folk Dance parties.

Other Events:

Planning committees of staff and board considered plans for Pine Mountain’s future. By March, staff and trustees had agreed on an Environmental Education program.

The elementary school program was scheduled to move to a consolidated school under construction at Green Hills (Bledsoe). (Note: Moving preparations were completed, as outlined, at the close of Spring, 1971, classes. Moving didn’t actually…

The plan for the future was for PMSS to have 4 main departments, in full cooperation with each other, under the coordination of the Director: Community work (Alvin Boggs, Coordinator), Maintenance and Farm (Brit Wilder, Coordinator), Coordination with the public schools (Vernon Conley, Coordinator), New Program (__, Coordinator).

The deaths of former Director, H. R. S. Benjamin, and Trustee, Robert Shepherd, were reported.
