01 January 8. To Drs. Tucker at Daytona Beach, FL, from H.R.S. Benjamin, who welcomes the Tuckers’ plan to work at PMSS this summer, enabling Dr. [Elizabeth] Henderson to take her vacation at that time. Thanks Dr. Francis for “word of Miss Payne.”

02 February 10. To Benjamin from Dr. Francis Tucker, Daytona Beach, FL, sending Valentine greetings. He encloses a pledge to the Creech fund; asks for former and current issues of “Pine Cone”; gives instructions for the handling of 15 pieces of baggage that the Tuckers had left behind; encloses a $50 check; describes Mr. Druckker’s boarding school, Annville Institute in Jackson Co., KY. Has a recommendation for a housemother.

03 February 13. To Drs. Tucker, Daytona Beach, FL, from H.R.S. Benjamin, describing a need for several housemothers next fall.

04 August 3. To Benjamin from Dr. Francis Tucker in Boulder, CO, who asks for the address of Ruby Dockery (Dingus?). He has written to Mr. Bowling in Harlan about Mr. Anderson’s future. Asks Benjamin to return the prospectus of a new clinic in Tacoma suburbs that Dr. Francis had loaned him. He is researching Dr. Henschel’s background; sends a clipping by Mrs. Drake. “We are indeed grateful for the fine treatment accorded us for the two months we were at Pine Mountain. The inspiring personality of staff members AND students is ever an inspiration.”

05 August 6. To Dr. Francis Tucker, ℅ Dr. T.C. Liu, Boulder, CO from [unsigned], who is responding in Mr. Benjamin’s absence. Provided contact information for Ruby Dockery, now Mrs. Elmer Lewis, and for Betty Feckler, Benjamin’s daughter, whom the Tuckers plan to visit. 

06 August 20. To “Friends” from Dr. Francis Tucker, Boulder, CO, with instructions for mailing items to him. He describes climbing Arapaho Glacier. 

07 August 28. To Dr. Francis Tucker, Boulder, CO., from Benjamin, thanking him for the information about Dr. Henschel and Miss Goodnow. He is planning to hire Mrs. Weart; hopes the Tuckers will be at PMSS during the “50th” celebration.

08 October 20. To Miss Nace from Francis and Emma Tucker, Boulder, CO, providing their new mailing address in Chicago, ℅ Dr. Francis C. Tucker, until November 12, when they return to Dayton Beach, FL. Planning to visit Mrs. Peckler and family in Hastings, NE; tells about “the three Lius” leaving for China. 

09 December 25. To Benjamin from Drs. Tucker, Daytona Beach, FL, with the dates of their upcoming stay at PMSS (April 24 – June 23), “with the understanding that we would be on medical duty May 25 – June 23….” Their 50th wedding anniversary will be held on June 29 in Chicago, closer to where Dr. William Tucker [son] is located. “It is understood, as this last summer, we received no remuneration for what we may be able to do….” They plan to be on call for emergencies and to conduct clinics, if needed; Tell of a letter from Mrs. Sarah DeForest Pettus who was a classmate of Ethel de Long Zande; the Misses Bigelow know Mrs. Zande; mentions visiting the Pecklers and their two children. They had dinner with Mr. Olds, “who (in the main) makes automobiles, but does a few other good deeds as well.”
