Series 03: Governance
The BEREA AGREEMENT page provides an image and transcription of a 1949 document concerning the nature of Berea (KY) College’s relationship with Pine Mountain Settlement School (PMSS). Berea College’s Board of Trustees proposed that PMSS elect a new board that would include Berea’s trustees. In addition, Berea College would not financially support PMSS operations. Two weeks later, PMSS accepted the resolution.
