3/18 REBECCA CAUDILL AYARS Visitor Board – Biography of an acclaimed American author of children’s literature, best known for her precise prose and historical accuracy of Appalachian life and the American pioneer era. After visiting Pine Mountain Settlement School in 1964, she wrote a report that included an enthusiastic endorsement of Little School. She also wrote a fundraising letter for the School and served as a PMSS board member from 1966 until 1974.
3/15 REBECCA CAUDILL (AYARS) PMSS Little School Endorsement – Native Harlan Countian and noted children’s author, Rebecca Caudill, endorses the Little School at Pine Mountain Settlement School after visiting the School in the 1960s.
3/12 BERTHA COLD 1932-1940 Correspondence – Images and transcriptions of letters to and from Bertha Cold, PMSS dietitian from 1933 to 1935 and sister of Edith Cold, PMSS teacher.

2/27 SUSAN M. BROOKS Staff – Biography of an occupational therapist from the Boston School of Occupational Therapy who was a weaving instructor at Pine Mountain Settlement School, 1933-1936.
2/27 SUSAN M. BROOKS 1933-1936 Correspondence – Correspondence of an occupational therapist who worked at Pine Mountain Settlement School from 1933 until 1936 as a weaving instructor.
2/26 KATHERINE PETTIT 1933 Correspondence – Images and summary of a six-page handwritten letter to Director Morris from former Director Katherine Pettit, who was by 1933 living in Lexington, Kentucky. Although no longer the Director, Pettit continued to monitor and advise on School events.
2/11 MARILYNN VAN DER VLIET Staff – Brief biography of a longtime bookkeeper at Pine Mountain Settlement School from 1962 until March 1970 and a close friend of co-worker Helen Guilford.
2/7 HELEN LEE GUILFORD Staff – Brief biography of a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Pine Mountain Settlement School’s consolidated school in 1968-1969.

01/03 MILDRED BAKER WILDER Staff – Biography of a longtime domestic and kitchen worker at Pine Mountain School from 1961 to 1997. Her husband, John, was the grandson of founder William Creech.
01/03 JOHN WILDER Student – Brief biography and images of a community resident, who was a PMSS student in the 1930s and a grandchild of founder William Creech.
