This small collection of 20 negatives was found in the Draper environmental education lab. They had been placed there to keep them from the heat and they shared space with other volatile film stock that is sensitive to heat. The freezer is used to house frozen mice that are fed to the rat snake and the corn snake. Most images date from the early 1950’s when the School was in use by the Harlan County Schools system.
The photographer is not identified, but the quality of the image and the negative type indicate the work of staff member and Interim Principal and Director, Arthur Dodd. Most likely the images were used for promotion and publications of the School.
