Possibly Evelyn K. Wells to Glyn Morris concerning the hiring of William Webb as acting director. Offers a summary of his work experience, interests, family 2
August 2, 1943 J. S. Crutchfield to C.N. Manning enclosing letter concerning Line Fork received from Evelyn Wells with enclosures from Fanny Gratz and Janet Grant. Mr. and Mrs. Mesler hired for work. 1
August 2, 1943 J.S. Crutchfield to William Webb concerning developing other sources of income for Line Fork work. 1
August 9, 1943 Fanny Gratz to Evelyn Wells concerning the “Line Fork situation.” Katherine Pettit left a fund for education on temperance in any part of the mountains where needed, not at PMSS. Fund was administered by a Committee of which Mrs. Bullock was a member. When she learned of the plans, Bullock objected to money from the fund ($75) being used to supplement the salary of Mr. and Mrs. Baker, who had been hired to direct the work at Line Fork.  If the right people were found, Bullock supported the Line Fork work. 2
August 13, 1943 Fanny Gratz to J.S. Crutchfield concerning Line Fork funding. 1
August 16, 1943 J,S. Crutchfield to Fanny Gratz concerning her interpretation of Mrs. Bullock’s “attitude toward the Line Fork project.” Mr. Webb is endeavoring to arrange to be relieved of the contract with Mr. and Mrs. Mesler and is hoping to engage on a month to month basis. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford. 1
004-?September 29, 1943 Arthur Dodd to Evelyn Wells expressing serious concerns with Mrs. Webb’s ability to manage the school’s accounts and difficulty addressing the issue with Mr. Webb. Doesn’t want to repeat the “unfortunate experience of the 1940  winter and spring.” [IMAGE OF 2nd PAGE IS MISSING] 3
