Events:

Traditional Events: Community Fair, Nativity Play, Weekly community folk dance parties.

Ripe and over-ripe timber was harvested.

Hospital closed May 1.

At the Spring meeting of Trustees, the following deaths were noted:

Dr. Clark Bailey, Harlan, long-time very helpful friend, counselor & Trustee.

Dr. Francis Tucker, PMSS doctor (together with his wife) for 3 years, plus summer vacation fill-in.

Mr. Luigi Zande, builder and planner of PMSS with his wife, Ethel de Long Zande.

Trustees discussed uses of the Line Fork and Big Laurel Settlement buildings. Burton Rogers, Director, worked on clearing the title of the Line Fork property.
