| April 19, 1948 | Memorandum from Evelyn Wells to Mr. Crutchfield, Chairman of Board, and Mr. Cressey, Secretary of Board, concerning the delivery of records accumulated during her term as secretary. Lists the records delivered. Notes the loss of secretarial records prior to 1935. Dorothy Bolles became secretary of the Board in 1933, Upon her death in 1935, Wells was unable to obtain the records from Bolles’ sister and executor. “Trustees matters in the early years, however, were handled with some irregularity, since the board acted largely as sponsors of Miss Pettit‘s and Mrs. Zande‘s policies, rather as formulators of policy themselves. | 1 |
