| June 24, 1945 MISSING IMAGE | Evelyn Wells to Dorothy Bolles concerning booklet “playing up the benefit to the community, so as to help the Creeches, and those in the community who aren’t friendly to them, to realize that although one man started things, it was to help everyone and get everyone help.” Suggested Henry Creech writes the foreword. “then nobody in the family could ever complain of our attitude towards the family (exploiting, etc.).” About the tool house: Mr. B brought very careful survey plans of the site above the present tool house, with plans and elevations worked out by Bill, W. Christensen, Mrs. Keith, etc. Mary Hook was to arrive the day after Mr. Benjamin got back. More about Benjamin letter to Morris. Thought the job with the Council of Southern Mountain Workers would be a better fit for Morris. Suggests Morris had hard feelings with the board. Feels it is their job to see he goes into a good job when he returns from the war. Mentions a job at a community church in Everts. Mentions increasing restrictions on travel due to war. Bolles was looking for a cook. | |
