[06] June 4, 1945	Evelyn Wells to M.H. Harding, Associate Director of National Information Bureau, concerning an application for “listing in the Bureau’s sponsored organizations.” Note: the National Information Bureau was an organization that furnished information about charitable work to its subscribers.	1
June 6, 1945 MISSING IMAGE	Mrs. M. H. Harding to Evelyn Wells requesting a copy of the school’s last fiscal audit. While the National Information Bureau receives few inquiries concerning the school, when they do, they will be happy to assure the inquirers that the school meets the technical requirements of the National Information Bureau.	1
[04] June 11, 1945	Evelyn Wells to Mrs. M.H. Harding concerning the mailing of the school’s last auditors report.	1
[05] June 11, 1945	Evelyn Wells to Messrs Hifner and Fortune (auditors) requesting they send a copy of the school’s June 30, 1944, auditors report to J.S. Crutchfield

June 24, 1945 MISSING IMAGE	Evelyn Wells to Dorothy Bolles concerning booklet “playing up the benefit to the community, so as to help the Creeches, and those in the community who aren’t friendly to them, to realize that although one man started things, it was to help everyone and get everyone help.” Suggested Henry Creech writes the foreword. “then nobody in the family could ever complain of our attitude towards the family (exploiting, etc.).” About the tool house: Mr. B brought very careful survey plans of the site above the present tool house, with plans and elevations worked out by Bill, W. Christensen, Mrs. Keith, etc. Mary Hook was to arrive the day after Mr. Benjamin got back. More about Benjamin letter to Morris. Thought the job with the Council of Southern Mountain Workers would be a better fit for Morris. Suggests Morris had hard feelings with the board. Feels it is their job to see he goes into a good job when he returns from the war. Mentions a job at a community church in Everts. Mentions increasing restrictions on travel due to war. Bolles was looking for a cook.

Failure to hire for the positions of counselor, community leader, and small schools supervisor. Five ‘little schools’ started in agreement with County. Talking to Frozen Food Refrigeration Company of Memphis.	1
[03] August 30, 1945	Mrs. M.H. Harding to Evelyn Wells concerning the National Information Bureau’s receipt of updated information about the school. Do not consider educational institutions as directly within their field of endorsement. Will provide facts about their operations. Note from Wells at bottom of the letter “Dear Mr. Benjamin: Please note and return this letter. Miss [Alice] Cobb also will want to see it. It’s a sort of negative recognition they give us, but it may be of help.”	1
September 25, 1945 MISSING IMAGE	Benjamin to Wells offering a number of updates. Report on Fair Day. National Information Bureau. Correspondence with Morris including his interest in the position of Executive Secretary of the Council of Southern Mountain Workers. Comments concerning blueprints for the Farm Workshop. Itinerary for visit to Chicago. Discusses the possibility of returning to China.	2
[09] October 3, 1945	J.S. Crutchfield to Evelyn Wells concerning upcoming board meeting, Creech centennial celebration, and Creech Memorial Hospital. Dr. Van Vleck resignation from Board.
