Mary Blackburn came to Pine Mountain in 1919 as a bookkeeper for the Settlement School. The 1919 issue of Notes announces that “Mary Blackburn of Cincinnati comes to PMSS this month as bookkeeper. She has several years experience and is an expert in her profession.” She only stayed for a brief time, leaving in 1920 for other employment. She was replaced by Constance Sheltman of Louisville.

It is not known where Miss Blackburn went after Pine Mountain, but her last known address according to the PMSS staff directory was Hudson Avenue, Evanston, Cincinnati, OH.
