Livengood [in Brookline, MA] to [Glyn] Morris: Thanks Morris for hosting him at Pine Mountain last summer; must leave MIT for a year or two due to lack of money; asks Morris for a PMSS position; encloses list of completed subjects. [003] Enclosure: List of courses Livengood completed at MIT as of September 1935; high school and college.

Unsigned [Morris?] to “Jimmy” James C. Livengood: There is a vacancy in our mechanic department next year when Mr. and Mrs. Faulkner leave; encloses application form.

James Cooper Livengood’s application for PMSS employment. Visited PMSS last summer with sister who is teaching there this year.

Livengood to Morris: “Daddy” agrees with Livengood’s working at PMSS and suggests arriving early to work under Mr. Faulkner; mentions Margaret Ann and wonders if she can still work at PMSS.

[unsigned, probably Morris] to “Jimmy” in Berea, KY: “Possibility of a vacancy in our mechanics department next year.” Asks if Livengood is still interested.

Livengood in London, KY, to Morris: Livengood is now working with the U.S. Forest Service at Camp F05 in London, KY, but would prefer the PMSS position. Asks about salary.

Morris to Livengood: Offers salary $60.00 a month and maintenance and would like Livengood to stay at least two years.
