MARY BRADSHAW HOLSINGER Staff, Volunteer

Housemother Weaving Teacher, Volunteer  c. 1948-1955

Mary Bradshaw Holsinger (Holzinger) came to Pine Mountain Settlement as a teacher and she then returned to volunteer for the institution. She was a knowledgeable and much admired weaving teacher at the School. Her seven years at the School span both Boarding School years as well as the Community School years. During her early years, she also served as a housemother to boarding school boys. She assisted with the Guest House in later years.

Mary Holsinger died March 23, 1955. She is remembered with great fondness by those who knew her and the students who learned the discipline of craft under her gentle watchful eye. This writer is one of those students.
