HALL FAMILY HISTORY Red Booklet
“HALL FAMILY HISTORY RED BOOKLET” consists of 38 images of pages from a small red booklet that outlines a brief Hall Family history. The narrative centers on the family of P.W. Hall of Viper, Kentucky. The booklet joins many other accounts of eastern Kentucky Hall families. It was published at the time of the celebration of the fiftieth family reunion in 1950 (?) — one of the longest running family reunions in the State of Kentucky.
For a partial transcription of the Red Booklet, go to HALL FAMILY HISTORY Reunion 1948.
When the Hall Family reunions were announced a notice was sent to all family members and often the new announcement contained a critique of the previous reunion. A News Letter was sent to the HALL FAMILY in 1981 that contains an update to the information found in the RED BOOK and lists the passing of many of the earliest Halls in Perry County and beyond. The President of the Hall Reunion in 1980 was Coy Engle and the Secretary/Treasurer was W.R. Hall who composed the News Letter of THE HALL FAMILY that follows the RED BOOKLET.
