Pine Mountain Settlement School Archive is grateful for the volunteer hours given on this inventory prepared by Deborah Thompson, a dancer and a musician.

The collection represents one of the more complex collections of early dance and music gathered at Pine Mountain Settlement School, an institution whose history is one of the most remarkable stories surrounding the British music and dance historians, Cecil Sharp and Maud Karpeles, and their American visits.
