ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION Case Statement Nature-Culture

A paper prepared by Nancy Sather and staff of the Environmental Education program at Pine Moutain Settlement in [1987 ?- 1988 ?] as charged by the Board of Trustees. The paper explores the relationship of Nature to Culture and seeks to understand the transition period between the administrations of the Urquarts and Paul Hayes. The red notes on the document were the annotations of Nancy Sather and were added in an attempt to provide a rationale to Mary Rogers, one of the founders of the Environmental Education program, [see note added by Sather April 3, 2023]

Additional material includes the proposed yearly schedule that included historical material that might provide a framework for the 1988 arrival of Ben Begley, the new EE Director . The printed proposed schedule was then

reviewed.and Mary Rogers followed up with a handwritten response
